His artworks have already been exhibited in Tokyo, Istanbul, Berlin, or Washington, among other places. In his art, Hedwig deals intensively with the mechanisms of the human being and depicts the individual in group dynamic processes. In the process, the factor of faith also takes on a supporting role in the artist’s works. Among other things, the Tyrolean is especially known for his monumental works of art, such as the Lenten cloth for the Cathedral of St. Jacob in Innsbruck or “Movements of the Soul” in the first district of Vienna.
Michael Hedwig is an internationally known artist with Tyrolean roots. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna under Anton Lehmden.
